Eric "Doutor" Blake is a graduated instructor of the capoeira group Grupo Raca based in Bahia, Brazil. Moving to Portland, Oregon in the late 1990's to pursue studies in medicine, Instrutor Doutor began leading capoeira classes under the direction of Mestre Medicina, also a physician and founder of Grupo Raca. Grupo Raca has been very influential in Brazil, training many mestres in the region of Bahia and the city of Salvador - the birthplace of Capoeira. Instrutor Doutor is also an author and physician in private practice, and has lectured nationally and internationally on natural medicine.
