Emily Schultz

Emily Schultz began her formal dance education at age 16 in Oregon. In 2010, she joined Portland Festival Ballet under the artistic direction of John Magnus where she danced principal roles in the Nutcracker, Raymonda, Le Corsaire, and Alice In Wonderland. John Magnus chose her choreography to be performed by the company for two consecutive years. She has since continued to choreograph in Portland, receiving a review from Willamette Week, who stated her work was “romantic and striking...like a fine wine.” She has guested for the role of Sugar Plum Fairy with The Springfield Ballet in Missouri. Emily has produced and directed a number of art events and performances in Portland including "Chiaroscuro", PDX Contemporary Ballet's "Metamorphosis", and DownRight Productions' "Amorphous". She has performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Drew Jacoby, Robert Dekkers, Doug Baum, Jordan Epstein and Emery LaCrone. Emily is very excited about her third season with BodyVox.
