Jenelle Yarbrough - Is a partnering founder / Artistic Director of Urban Arts, Inc. and Urban Arts Dance Company and has been performing and teaching professionally in the Portland area as well as Internationally for over 15 yrs. She is a former dancer for the Portland Fire Hip-Hop Squad, the Jammin’ 95.5 Jam Squad and the Portland Trailblazer's Hip-Hop Squad. Her dance company experience includes Urban Shock, Vivid Vixen Cabaret, Unseen Hip-Hop Company, The Detail Dance Company, and 10 years as principle dancer for the Northwest Afrikan American Ballet. While with the ballet she was able to travel to places such as South Africa and Europe. Jenelle has performed as an opening act at many of the concerts that have come to Portland such as Mya, Ashanti, Trina, Fabolous, 112, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Ciara and Ludacris and was a featured dancer on the TLC channels reality show “Rock My Reception” and a featured choreographer on the Comcast Sports Networks reality show “Portland Trailblazers: Road to the Sweet 16”. Jenelle has also worked on product release events for Nike and Columbia Sportswear. She is trained in various styles of dance including Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and African dance, but her love is Hip-Hop Fusion. Although Urban Arts is her focus, Jenelle still facilitates workshops, and choreographs for dance teams, companies, studio’s and dance camps in Alaska, Oregon, Washington and abroad.
