Olivia Ancona was born in San Francisco, however grew up in Berkeley, London, and predominately Portland, Oregon. She trained with the Northwest Dance Project, Jefferson Dancers, and the Portland Ballet, and is an alumnus of the Juilliard School. In 2010-2012 Olivia was a member of the Batsheva ensemble. She danced and helped to co-found Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar’s company L-E-V from 2012-2014, while freelancing internationally including collaborations with Italian choreographer Luca Veggetti and performing in Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s project company Eastman throughout Europe and Russia. 2014/15 Olivia was a member of the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm, where she had the opportunity to work with Mats Ek and create with Johan Inger before rejoining Batsheva Dance Company.
