Meet Sarah

Well, I guess it's my turn to be introduced in the BodyVox blog! Hello, I'm Sarah Shell, hailing all the way from Music City USA, Nashville,TN. I've been dancing all my life and initially moved out to Los Angeles to fulfill my dream of becoming a professional dancer. Even though I have been away from home for 7 years, I still have my accent and yes I say ya'll instead of you guys! When I first moved to Portland about a year ago, I was amazed at how clear the sky is and I'm loving having seasons again!

Some facts about me are......I started my very first veggie garden this year only to find out I'm better at killing them. I love all types of music, especially old country as my Dad is a country music song writer. I really enjoy going to flea markets and second hand stores to dig for treasures! And, I am engaged and will be married next Oct. in Nashville!

My BodyVox-2 adventure has just begun and I have already learned so much! Prior to BodyVox, I was doing mostly commercial dancing in Los Angeles and never had the opportunity to work in a company. I'm also 5'9" so needless to say, I have not done a lot of partnering before. Little did I know I would not only be lifted but LIFTING!!  I'm definitely being challenged and it feels great to finally be dancing some really creative, brilliant work!
