About JAG:

Join the elite training  and performance program at the home of Portland's world renowned dance company, BodyVox.

JAG is based in a demanding multidisciplinary curriculum to develop versatility, flexibility, and improvisational skills. Students will develop a strong dance foundation based in ballet and contemporary technique. Dancers will participate in fully produced performances at BodyVox Dance Center performing both BodyVox Repertory as well as original choreography. Many JAG dancers will be invited to perform at other area events. BodyVox seeks to infuse students with a commitment to performance and most importantly curiosity and joy in life, art, and dance.

JAG Director Heather Jackson shares that "JAG was developed in response to interest from our community. Parents, teachers, and students are looking for a performance training program that is focused on developing a well-rounded dance artist."

Teachers and choreographers will include:
Heather Jackson, Sarah Fuhrman, Jenelle Yarbrough, Rachel Slater, Sara Parker, Zach Carroll, Thorey Mountain, DarVejon Jones, Katie Scherman as well as BodyVox Artistic Directors: Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland
