Your student will work with BodyVox’s outstanding roster of dancers and teaching artists to dance, expand their imaginations, and move their bodies. We will explore the connections between dance, rhythm, music, and creativity.

DANCE CAMP: JUNE 15-19, JUNE 22-26

CAMP CURRICULUM
Classes and activities are tailored to four age groups:
Purple (4-5), Red (5-6), Yellow (7-8) and Green (9-10).

Each day will feature a selection of BodyVox’s camp curriculum classes, such as stackrobats, repertory, and art class followed by snack time and lunch (lunch and snacks not provided by BodyVox). Throughout the week, students are introduced to more specialized dance movement forms and vocabulary.

Camp curriculum may include the following classes:
    •    Global Dance  (movement traditions from around the world)
    •    Stackrobats  (acrobatic dance)
    •    Repertory (learning choreography)
    •    Jazz  (jazz dance styes and technique)
    •    ImproVox (dance improvisation)
    •    Yoga (traditional & student created poses)
    •    Hip Hop (hip hop style and technique)
    •    Visual Arts

FRIDAY SHOWCASE
Fridays will feature an afternoon Student Showcase for friends and family.
Purple and Red Group Camp Showcase 12:30-1:15pm
Yellow and Green Groups 1:30-2:30pm       

AFTERNOON ADVENTURE
As an option, after the morning camp session, students can participate in Afternoon Adventure*. This group will experience planned field trip activities. Options may include a fire station tour, a library scavenger hunt, Jamison Square fountain fun etc.  Every 2-3 children will be chaperoned by one helper. *Students must be enrolled in the morning session of Dance Camp to enroll in Afternoon Adventure.
