Now in its 4th year...

Oregon's premiere Dance Film Festival returns! Presented by BodyVox and Northwest Film Center, the Contact Dance Film Festival features three different programs. These include both short and feature-length films from around the world as well as here in Portland. The Contact Dance Film Festival will also feature the premiere of a new BodyVox film.

About The Contact Dance Film Festival

Our festival was founded to support and promote new independent short dance films and feature length dance films from around the world. We aim to provide exposure to these films and organize three nights of phenomenal dance cinematography, reflecting the diversity within the dance film genre. We showcase films that exude an originality and mission from filmmakers representing a broad spectrum of the art of dance.

The Contact Dance Film Festival occurs once a year as part of the BodyVox season. Films are screened in the 180 seat BodyVox Dance Center Theater and the 376 seat Whitsell Auditorium.

Contact Dance Film Festival is a collaboration between BodyVox and NW Film Center. BodyVox is an internationally touring contemporary dance company based in Portland, Oregon that has made numerous short films, winning multiple international awards. NW Film Center is a regional media arts organization founded to encourage the study, appreciation, and utilization of the moving image arts.
