Youth Dance education

Incubate your creativity

BodyVox Dance Center is opening its doors to students interested in a year-long dance education.

Our new youth program, dedicated to students ages 3 – 18, will be held in our brand new studios.

Faculty teaching artists include performers from BodyVox, Open Space, and Oregon Ballet Theatre, among others.

For high school and gap year dancers interested in pursuing a career in dance, please check out our pre-professional program, JAG.
Junior Artist Generator (JAG).

An unparalleled dance education

BodyVox dance center has a total of four studios, two of which will be dedicated to our youth programming.

With sprung floors, Marley surface, brand new mirrors and state of the art sound systems, we are fully equipped to provide our students with an unparalleled dance education that will strengthen their technique and encourage them to reach their fullest potential.

We encourage our dancers to explore their unique creativity and grow their love for dance and community.

At BodyVox, we believe in each of our dancers' individuality, and we encourage them to trust in their unique abilities to call forth their inner artist.

BodyVox strives to provide accessible dance education to all, and we believe that anyone who wants to dance should get a chance to do so; Therefore, we provide scholarships based on need. Dancers interested in this option, please contact audience@bodyvox.com.

If you would like more information regarding the youth program, please email audience@bodyvox.com or call the studio at (503) 229-0627.

A dedicated space

We will be teaching all youth classes in the dance center's North Wing.

With charging stations, dedicated space to do homework, the North Wing is designed to provide students with a safe space to hang out.

We also include a comfortable waiting area for parents and guardians and a small arts and crafts area to keep younger kids entertained while they wait for their older siblings to come out of class.

To support our dancers more fully, we have a community board where they can share their accomplishments in dance and more and invite their peers to other events, such as school plays, musicals, sporting events, etc.

Classes and recitals

We offer a variety of youth classes that cater to different ages, experience levels, and styles of dance.

Keep an eye out for new classes, as we will also be adding more throughout the year.

You can always find our most up to date class offerings in our class roster.

Additionally, we will be offering a year-end recital where all of our dancers will get the chance to show friends and family everything they’ve worked on throughout the year.
